Character Development - Feedback Please!
Here are some more developed character designs, based on the thumbnails from the previous post which I liked the most. Feedback very welcome!
Character Thumbs
Here are some character sketches for my film. The main character is a homeless man. I've started off with loads of thumbnails to try and get a feel for him. Would love feedback on which ones people like!
New Film!
I've recently started on my new film, which I'll be working on from now until May/June. Here's a little concept thing I did a while back.

NSS Advert - Toby!
You might remember Toby from a few weeks ago. Here he is in an advert I made for the National Student Survey. Animated entirely in after effects, using visuals made in illustrator.
Enjoy!

Trippy Kong
Me and a few friends from uni have recently started a drawing challenge. Here's the result of the first fortnight. We had to pick a character from Super Smash Bros. I chose Donkey Kong, and got a bit weird. Try to enjoy!
CelAction Stuff!
I recently completed a CelAction course at Bait Studio. Below are some of my first tests, using a basic rig designed for us to use (and tweaked by me).
I did all the rigging and animation. Enjoy!

More from the CelAction Course at Bait. Here's a walk cycle I made. I designed and rigged the character myself, happy with the outcome. More soon! Enjoy

Walk to School
Here's a little something I did for my sister Gabi's uni project. The project is about our family and how they respond to home and new surroundings. I was asked to draw my old route from home to school. I used illustrator and a little bit of photoshop.
Gabi is a third year Fashion Promotion student at UCA Epsom. Take a look at her work here.

Background Concepts
Here are some recent backgrounds, created as concepts for an idea I've had for a film. I've been trying to work on my layout and style, and I'm happy with how these have come out.
All created working straight into Illustrator. Enjoy!

Gender Bustin' Collab!
After drawing Kangaskhan for the Pokécollab I was approached by Initials Games to draw something for their Gender Bustin' Collab! The idea was to take iconic video game character's and draw them as the opposite gender.
Seemed like a fun challenge, so I decided to draw Sonic. Enjoy! Created in Illustrator.

Back to Illustrator!
Haven't used Illustrator in ages, not since I was doing the visuals for Faux! I've missed it, so today I did this thing! Enjoy!
PokéCollab!
Below is a digital drawing that I did for Justin Chan's Pokécollab project! His awesome idea was to get 151 different digital artists to draw the 151 first generation pokémon. Really fun to do, major nostalgia!
I drew this Kangaskhan in Photoshop. Below it is the latest version of the final image.

Digital Doodles
Hello! Since finishing the year in June, I've pretty much just been relaxing (Hence the lack of posts recently). I have, however, kept on drawing and thinking of ideas for next year!
Recently I've been having a go at digital drawing, as it's something I've never really gotten into, but always liked the look of. Below are a few random drawings that I've done recently.
All drawn into photoshop from my iPad, using the airdisplay app.
Enjoy!

Faux - Final Film
Below is the result of my 2nd year final major project, Faux.
It was originally supposed to be 90 seconds long, and the final length is about 3:45. I finished it by the deadline, so all was good in the end, but as I worked on it, it kept getting longer and longer. I've learnt from this that next year I should really improve my planning, especially at the animatic stage.
Despite this the film has been a success, with a nomination for best 2nd year in the Glammies, and a solid 84 mark, giving me a 1st for the year on the main section of the course. All in all I'm very happy!
Feedback is very welcome, either on here or on Facebook/Twitter.
Please enjoy in full screen and share!

Vehicle Backgrounds
Here are the backgrounds from the Vehicle scenes. All of the visuals from the film were created in adobe illustrator.
City Backgrounds
Here are the final backgrounds for the city scene. The last few includes the rain effect that I adapted from this tutorial on a great flash fx blog by Ron Doucet.

New Zealand
Below are a few simple graphic illustrations I created for a 3rd year Fashion Promotion student at Nottingham University (Check out her tumblr here!). They are for a printed newspaper full of facts about New Zealand. All of the designs will be created by various artists in different mediums (which is why mine aren't in the same style).
Just a little side project as It's been a while since I've done any graphic design stuff. Created using illustrator and photoshop.
Enjoy!

#Handssolo Entry
Below is my entry to the #Handssolo drawing competition just started by Animade, one of my favourite contemporary animation studios. The brief is to take a drawing of hands in different positions (given to you by animade) and complete it in a creative way, using any medium you like.
Below is the original drawing which we had to use:
And here is my adaptation:
I used Adobe photoshop.
Unfortunately I didn't win, but there's always next time!

Animation Teasers
I've been really bad at posting lately, my film deadline is steadily getting closer and I've been quite busy.
I also didn't want to post too much of what I'm doing so as not to give away the whole film before It's finished. Because of this, I've put together a few short teaser clips of the animation in the film, with no background or context.
I've struggled with naming the film, but for the moment I've gone for the best suggestion I've had:
FAUX.
Enjoy!

Logos
Apologies for not having posted in a while, I've been steadily working on the film. Look out for more of that soon! In the mean time...
Here is a logo I created for the Coral team. The logo will be used on letterheads, flyers etc. Simple design, created in Illustrator.
Below is a logo which I've recently created for my good friend Matt Barber.
The logo is for his new contracting company, so if you know of anyone who needs a great contractor in the Berkshire area, visit his website here.

Final Style/Colour Design
Below is your first look at what my final film will look like when the characters, backgrounds and everything else is put together. Effectively a frame from the final thing. Enjoy!
Forest Backgrounds
Below are a few new backgrounds for the film, This time for the Forest scenes.
There's also a little test I did for a time-lapse style shot in which the shadows from the trees move across the screen as the sun moves across the sky. Apologies for the quality, Its a GIF.
Enjoy!
